How can I develop a community over passion for tennis?

The Love Club started out as a passion project for me to be able to keep playing the sport I fell in love with as a kid. The problem was that I didn’t know many people in my city that played tennis. I started researching raquet clubs, but was turned off by the high prices and competitive nature. So I decided to start my own club. The Love Club is an informal collective of anyone who loves playing tennis. We’re a completely free club that comes together at public courts throughout our city.

The branding was created to help bring this project to life. Drawing inspiration from retro tennis graphics, The Love Club uses a mix of fun, loose illustrations along with bold typography. I created multiple word marks in hopes that anyone that joins the club would have at least one logo that they feel connected to. The color palette is directly inspired by the iconic colors of tennis courts. 

The Love Club uses social media as the primary source for communciation. Through social media the club can promote events through posts and digital calendars, while sharing content to further connect with club members.
